An Post Ras 20122012 An Post Rás : 20th-27th May 2012 The 2012 An Post Rás is an annual eight day stage race around Ireland. This year the race will take place from the 20th-27th May, delivering the number one cycling event in Ireland. The open racing style of the Rás pits amateur riders from county teams against international teams, allowing the best Irish amateur riders to take up the challenge and race against the professionals. Tri-Burgh Triathlon 2012Tri-Burgh Triathlon : 2nd June 2012 The 2012 Tri-burgh Triathlon takes place on Saturday 2nd June 2012 and promises to be another great event for all participants as it builds on it’s 2010 and 2011 success. The Tri-Burgh Triathlons’ reputation as one of the best of it’s kind continues to grow, offering both novice and seasoned tri-athletes a tough yet thoroughly rewarding and unforgettable experience. Both Sprint and Olympic distances are covered with individuals and teams being equally welcome. The Tri-Burgh Triathlon takes place in Louisburgh, Co Mayo (just 14 miles from Westport), a small town located on the south shore of Clew Bay boasting some of the most scenic countryside in Ireland. Proceeds from the 2011 edition of Tri-Burgh have been used to complete the extension to the Pallotti School in Tanzania. Westport Folk & Bluegrass Fest29 June 2012 - 01 July 2012 Now in its sixth year, the Westport Folk and Blue Grass Festival is fast gaining a reputation as one of the best boutique music festivals in Ireland, boasting top-class local, national and international acts, a host of free gigs and sessions and a five-hour main event.
